Happy 4 week birthday Mini's!

This week the min pin's turned 4 weeks old. I am really loving this age because they are super playful. So for now, its eat, sleep, play, repeat. There are just two lovable min pin's available for adoption. One female who I call "Little Red", but that is only because she got the red toe nail polish paint job (that is how I marked them so I know who is who when they were born) and then is the male aka, "Little Man". The male reminds me a lot of his father. But both of the puppies are super precious and would make lovable pets.

But let me tell ya, getting photos of them has been pretty hard. They sit still for long, but enjoy:

Eye's wide open...

The puppies are two weeks old this week and their eyes are opened. They are starting to try and stand up and walk around.

On another note, Thomas was tested for MPS VI and it came back clear and normal. I did not test Tinkerbelle because even if she is affected or a carrier of the MPS VI the puppies will only be carriers, which is why it is important to spay/neuter the puppies and to NOT breed them. We DO NOT want affected dogs. MPS VI is found in Min Pin's and is a genetic disease. Tom is only the 1,604 min pin to be tested with his disease, so make sure when you are buying a puppy you buy a healthy puppy from someone who cares to do the proper leg work before breeding. Testing was done by University of Penn School of Veterinary Medicine. MPS VI means Mucoploysccharidosis type VI and more information can be found here Univeristy of Penn Vet Medicine
